Business Elevator Pitch – Can you Tweet your Business Plan?

Elevator pitch for your business plan at the business plan courseBlaise Pascal once said, “‘I’m sorry that this was such a long letter, but I didn’t have time to write you a short one.” Writing something that is short and to the point is hard and takes a lot of time just just like making something simple is hard and also takes a lot of time. Unfortunately, humans have a short attention span and you usually make an impression on people in the first thirty seconds. That means you have about half that time to pitch your business when you first meet them. If you are pitching investors it’s probably one of the most important pieces of your business plan kit because it makes that first impression and distills things right down to the core.
One of the video lectures in the Business Plan Course gives the business owner the challenge to Tweet me their business plan. That means you have 140 characters to create your business pitch. If someone says they can not explain their business plan that way then it’s too complicated and they have not tried hard enough to distill the business down to the core. Try the exercise and send me a Tweet @BrandonCWhite.
